Automated Manifest System (AMS)

The Automated Manifest System (AMS) is an electronic information transmission system used by the US Customs and Border Protection. It is meant to gather and process cargo information prior to arrival in the US.

It enables customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers to submit manifest information for sea, air, truck, and rail shipments. AMS guarantees adherence to US import laws, expedites inspection, and improves cargo visibility.
