ISF

Importer Security Filing (ISF), also referred to as 10+2 filing, is a US customs requirement for goods that arrive through ocean cargo. It covers all the documents about goods that customs authorities need as the goods move from point to point.

It must be sent to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at least 24 hours before the shipment leaves the US.

An ISF includes the following information:

  • Country of origin

  • Harmonised system codes for each product

  • Consignee numbers

  • Importers of record numbers

  • Container stuffing location
