The Export Release Verification Service (ERVS), introduced by Revenue, is a process that verifies that goods are released from the EU and are no longer observed by customs. It performs the following functions:
Release Verification: Confirms that an MRN is valid and has the status ‘Released’, allowing the carrier or agent to proceed.
Arrival Confirmation (IE507 – Arrival at departure): Notifies Revenue that items have arrived at the exit point and meet the arrival criterion.
Departure Confirmation (IE590 – Exit Notification Message): Determines whether an Exit Notification message is necessary for goods leaving the EU from an Irish Customs Office. If required, the ERVS assists the carrier or agent in submitting this message.
