Union Customs Code (UCC)

The Union Customs Code (UCC) is used by the EU to update customs procedures. It creates a thorough framework for customs laws and practices throughout the European Union. You can read the full UCC legislation on the European Commission website. The UCC is closely linked to the MASP-C, which outlines the digital roadmap for implementing its electronic customs requirements.

To accomplish this, the Commission and Member States are implementing new electronic customs systems and upgrading current ones to manage all customs declarations processes. Businesses trading across the EU must ensure full compliance with UCC requirements, including accurate product classification and proper import and export declarations.
