National Clearance Hub (NCH)

The National Clearance Hub (NCH) is the central hub within the European Community that oversees the movement and processing of goods moving in, moving out, or transiting the UK. You can read the official NCH guidance on GOV.UK.

Operating 24/7, the NCH is unique in the European Community and handles several key tasks:

  • Processing around 360,000 import and export declarations annually
  • Managing and adjusting entries after customs clearance
  • Coordinating the movement of goods from third countries
  • Processing goods in customs transit through the European Community

Businesses can use iCustoms’ UK customs declaration software to ensure all declarations submitted to the NCH are accurate and compliant.
