External Temporary Storage Facility (ETSF)

An External Temporary Storage Facility (ETSF) is a site outside the port’s designated area that is used for storing imported goods. The goods are temporarily stored here until they are released for free circulation or re-exported.

ETSF is important for global trade because it helps move goods across borders more smoothly. It can also reduce the carbon footprint of logistics operations while still ensuring efficiency and compliance.
